Tiny lump under skin at base of penis

Two days ago I felt a very tiny lump (about the size of a grain of sand or slightly larger) near the base of my penis almost where it begins to attach to the scrotal area. It is not painful, tender or inflammed in any way. The lump/mass is under the skin. It can be somewhat difficult to find.
It could have been there a long time for all I know, or it could be recent. From what I've read, it does not seem indicitive of Penile cancer. I am a circumsized, 47-year-old. I am going to see my GP in two days, but want some reassurance.

There are various causes for penile lumps. This can include a cyst, thrombosed penile vein, or less likely, cancer.
I agree with the physician evaluation. A urology referral can also be considered.
A penile ultrasound can image the lesion and give a more definitive diagnosis.
This option can be discussed with your personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
