cannot hold an erection

When I want to make love to my wife I find that I cannot hold an erection for more than 10 mins, also cannot ejeculate at times. I am 57 yrs old and fit don't have stress or another problem that could cause me to lose interest in my love making. I have tried using viagra but still have problems with ejeculation

There are many causes leading to erectile dysfunction.  This can include vascular causes, metabolic disease, or psychogenic etiologies.  



You can consider blood tests looking for diabetes, thyroid disease or a low testosterone level.  An ultrasound can evaluate blood flow to the penis.



If there are no overt diseases present, medications like Viagra can be considered to help improve blood flow to the penis.



These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
