Possible STD?

by jackalmighty, May 03, 2006 12:00AM
About 6 weeks ago I engaged in unprotected sex, losing my virginity, with a girl I knew well but not great after a long night of partying.  We did everything in the book, except anal sex, and she bled a little.  Things went okay, I didn't climax, and the next day I went on with my life.  I've never had sex so I had no clue what to expect.  I got very very nervous and started reacting to the smallest thing wrong with my body or anything that looked wrong.  Many of my friends said I was crazy and started calling me a hypochondriac and that I had nothing wrong.  Recently (10 days ago) the same girl and I had sex, protected although she bled once more and we quit, and I started to feel better about the whole situation.  But I tend to worry about I stress out a lot!!!  I drink a lot and don't consume enough water so mouth became dry and irritated and my stress level came back up.  I think I might be developing cankers but they haven't appeared.  Finally, today I noticed a very tiny small area on the side of my penis under the head that looked irritated almost wartlike but they were extremely small.  I feel no pain but I feel like just for my own piece of mind I should be tested.  I know that it could be warts, another STD, or anything.  I'm lost...

STDs and other infections are certainly possible.  I would obtain a urine sample or urethral swab to rule out gonorrhea and chlamydia as well as a UTI.

Various types of genital lesions, like genital warts or herpes, can also be considered.  The lesion can be swabbed and sent to he lab for analysis.

This should be evaluated by a urologist.  Treatment would depend on what was found on the evaluation.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
