Help

My problem started last week after I was towling myself off from a shower. I used an old towel because my wash wasn't done.

As I was drying my chest, the towel swung across my penis head and scrapped open and against the tip. I immediatley felt a burning sensation going through my urethra all the way down to my prostate.

It got worse as the night went on and by the morning it burned when I urinated and my anus was itching and burning. Now, I'm still experiencing a burning sensation in my anus going down to the base of my scrotum but there's also a tightness in there on top of itching around and under my scrotum.

I'm also experiencing a difficult time getting or maintaining an erection. What the heck did I introduce into my prostate and is there treatment for this?

Thanks..

Jim

Difficult to say without evaluation.  Infection should be ruled out however.  A urinalysis as well as tests for gonorrhea and chalmydia should be performed.

The prostate can be evaluated via a rectal exam and any prostatic secretions should be sent to the lab for analysis and culture.

If the symptoms continue, you can consider a cystoscopy to evaluate the lower GI tract for any traumatic damage.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
