If viragra doesn't work then what's wrong?

I have been unable to maintain an erection for several years.

I have tried viragra and that really didn't help me.  Could

there be some other answer to correct this problem?  I am

in my 60's and have been married for 43 years and this

problem has been comming on slowly for about 20 yrs. Only

in the last several has it become very serious. Can your

give me any advise as to another step to take to correct this

problem?  Up until this time my wife and I have enjoyed our

relations although I have always had a low sex drive when

we did get together it was always good.  Thank you.

Viagra doesn't help if there is a vascular problem or a problem with hormones (i.e. testosterone levels).

I would ensure that a good vascular exam (i.e. checking pulses) be done to ensure there are no issues with blood flow.

A blood test to check the testosterone level should be considered.  If you have diabetes, this should be controlled.

You can discuss these options with a urologist.  There are some cases where Levitra or Cialis can be tried if Viagra isn't working.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
