PSA Levels

I had a radical prostectomy in 1992. For several years my PSA level was 0 or 0.1.I recently went two years without checking. My recent PSA show as being 93. Is such a level possible. I am 73 and am wondering if I should take any action

Further evaluation is certainly needed.  What you not want to miss is recurrent or metastatic prostate cancer after the prostatectomy.  Tests including a bone scan and abdominal/pelvic CT scan would be a reasonable course of initial action.

Another option would be a ProstaScint scan.  This test is specifically designed to find prostate cancer recurrence after a prostatectomy.

You can discuss these options with your personal urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
