Penis Head lack of Sensitivity

by russruss, Oct 28, 2004 12:00AM
Hi,

I am a 47 year old male. Having a normal sex life. I have been noticing since I have been getting older that the sensitivity on my penis head has been decreasing. First off is this normal and second is there anything to bring back that sensation.

Depends on what is causing it.  You may want to rule out infection with a urinalysis as well as urine tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia.  Diabetes can also cause nerve dysfunction.  A blood test can be considered to screen for this not uncommon cause.

If the tests remain non-revealing, you may want to consider a referral to a urologist or neurologist for further evaluation.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
