Question Title: Deteriorating vision

Forum: The Eye Care Forum
Topic: Laser Vision Correction (LASIK and PRK)

I am a 31 yr old male who never needed glasses. Last october I got
my first pair. Since October it seems like my vision has been getting
worse. It now seems I am squinting while my glasses are on, and it
is harder to read road signs while driving. I suppose I am concerned that
there may be a larger problem, and the bad vision is a by-product of
some other issue. Should I get checked out? If so, for what? Thank you.

Did you actually need glasses? I would recommend a comprehensive ophthalmic examination to rule out any pathology or problem. Most likely you need a mild corrective change and sometimes the corrective change given is too strong. I suspect this is the case rather than some underlying problem but I recommend that this be evaluated by an ophthalmolgist to rule out any retinal, optic nerve or corneal problem. Good luck.
