Hello,
I have had Lasik done on my both eyes a year ago and I have been having vision fluctiation since. My prescription was around -8 in each eye. After the surgery I had a 20/20 vision, but now it has been degraded to 40/20, it can be corrected by wearing glasses or possibly an enhancement. My major concern is the vision fluctuation though. The doctors at TLC tell me that they had not seen such a case before. Usually, vision fluctuations are commom for the first three month, but not for a year. Has anyone seen such case and do you have any comments?

Appreciate it,

Sepideh

This is certainly not typical. I will speak with some of my collegues and see if they have experienced such. It would be important to see if your refraction actually changes. Your eye doctor should be checking this. You may have some type of corneal dystrophy that may be causing vision fluctuations. Another possibility although unlikely would be that a metabolic process such as diabetes may be causing this. You may want to have your blood sugar checked. Now if the vision is not truly fluctuating but has changed and is stable you may want to consider an enhancement.
