problems with sex

by purr, Mar 03, 2007 12:00AM
I'm a 34 yr old white male, 6'0" 216 lbs.  I lost an erection one time with my wife and I still dont know why, but every time we have sex I'm worried that I'm going to lose it again.

On wed, we had sex in the afternoon, then when we went to bed we tried again.  I got an erection but half way through sex, I lost it.  I was dead tired.  I dont know whats going on, why I'm losing erections at 34 years of age.

I'm still attracted to my wife, but I dont know why its happening to me.   I never had this problem with prior women that I was with.

I'm not worried that I'm going to get her pregnant since I had a vasectomy 9/05, I'm definately NOT gay, and I'm still in love with my wife.

I go to the doctor this thursday due to my wifes reccomendation that I get this checked out.  I dont even know HOW to bring it up to the doc either.

Any ideas on whats going on?

You sound really stressed.    I've been married 25 years to a very healthy man,  and he's certainly lost his erection once or twice during that time,  due to exhaustion.

Is your wife asking you to go to ease your anxiety,  (which is fair,  you sound anxious) or does she believe something is wrong that has to be corrected?

I don't sense there is anything wrong with your body.  I do sense you have a lot of performance worries with her.

Best wishes.

Like Rose said, you sound really stressed and you should not be. Exhaustion and erection just do not go together. If it makes you feel better, for many couples arousal "dysfunctions" are rather the norm, for both partners. As soon as performance stress is created, you end up in a vicious cycle. Even a woman can go into sex avoidance if the man keeps asking "did you come yet?" The last thing you need is stress in the bedroom. And for guys obviously the performance anxiety much worse because they think he can only please the woman with an erection. Wrong. You can easily switch to manual pleasures or whatever you can think of until the issue is not an issue anymore. Or agree upon taking a little break from sex until desires take their own course. Get a third opinion from your doctor but you are doing great!

Stress is probably playing a big part in this and the more you think about losing your erection the worse it gets. I have been down this road and its not easy to talk about or get help even from your doctor sometimes. I have a friend who is a nutritionist and he advised me me to talk to a guy who runs a dieting and mens health business. So i got something called prelox blue and male factor 1000 and I have no problems maintaining my erection any more. Its just a couple of tablets each day that promote healthy blood flow and endurance for men. the place is www.myhealthabcmall.com, the guy who runs it has been in business for years and is very understanding and discreet. He conducted all my quieries via email. I could never ask my doctor about this as I would be too embaressed, no one wants to admit they have a problem down there. The products are by the way all natural and my nutritionist friend said you can use these forever and I trust his expert opinion.
Make sure you take some kind of action or your wife may lose patience pretty quickly, good luck.
