Fluid Behing the Eye

by Nanma, May 24, 2007 12:00AM
My father was told he has fluid behind his eye.  He is going to a specialist and they are doing an angegram and other tests about 4 hours.  Are you able to tell me what are they looking for?

probably some sort of edema like cystoid macular edema or central serous maculopathy or 'wet' macular degeneration.  the special testing is probably a fluorescein angiogram:

the treatment will depend on the diagnosis...everything from nothing to oral medications to laser eye surgery...
