Stange pressure feeling in eye

by vimto, May 23, 2007 12:00AM
Hi there, I'm 20 years old, i wear tonic contact lences, over the last few months ive been getting discomfort in my left eye like a presurre feeling when i press agaist my eye lid my eye makes a crunching sound that seems to relieve the discomfort, also pinching above my eye (useing eye lid) relieves it, the discomfort gets worse with contacts in. This is only in my left eye though my contacts say '8.7 14.4 -1.25/-0.75*030' for left eye i went for a eye check up about 6 months ago and everything was fine, id be grateful for your help, thanks

you need another eye exam.  IMO based on that description it is highly likely that you have an inflammatory eyelid condition like 'giant papillary conjunctivitis' or GPC.  that would not be dangerous, but would need medical intervention with topical anti-inflammatories and antihistamines.

call and make an appointment.  this will be a medical eye visit, not a 'routine eye exam'.
