MY QUESTION IS, I HAVE MACULAR DEGENERATION IN BOTH EYES ALONG WITH COUPLE OF DISORDERS THAT ARE INCURABLE. WHERE CAN I GO AND GET THE THINGS I NEED LIKE A BRAILLER FOR FREE OF CHARGE. I HAVE NO MONEY SSD HAS NOT KICKED IN YET I NEED SOME HELP IN GETTING THE SUPPLIES I NEED AT NO CHARGE. CAN YOU HELP ME MY VISION IS 20/80 20/100 AND 20/400. I NEED SOME HELP CAN YOU HELP ME OUT? THANKS DEBORAH

these services and organizations vary by state.  try ______ Commission for the Blind, where the 'blank' is your state...

Debera,

Try calling a Catholic Church. Explain your situation.  They can direct you to a Charity to assist you, until your SSD kicks in.

Also, when your SSD does kick in,there are many extra benefits for those with limited vision.  Be sure you get all the assistance that is available to you, due to you limited vision.  Very best of wishes to you!!
