Clouded Vision

by cherishnkaiden, Apr 29, 2007 12:00AM
Hello I'm a 26 yr old female. I have had perfect vision my whole life. But lately my vision has been foggy. I can still see fine nothing is blurry or anything just clouded or foggy. And it isn't a constant thing, sometimes its worse than others and other times it isn't that bad (but most of the time foggy.) I have had migraines most of my life (family curse.) The fogginess is different than the normal blurry vision I get with my migraines. I have also been getting different headaches that feel deeper inside my head. Also it feels like something is behind my eyes trying to push them out (this doesn't hurt, just a feeling.)
I am a divorced mommy of two. I'm living off child support with no insurance (long story.) I don't have the money to pay doctor bills if its nothing. Can you please help me decide if going into the eye doctor is really needed?
Thank you so much for your time!

Yes, I would say that in this case an eye examination is certainly warranted.

many things can cause a complaint of "cloudy" vision.  the 1st one that comes to my mind is corneal edema, although it would be rare to have both eyes affected simultaneously.  this could be anything.  you need to have it evaluated.

Thank you for your help!
I have also posted on the undiagnosed symptoms (just the forum, not the ask a doctor.) I have had other problem that I didn't even think that the would be combined. I'm wondering now if I have cushings. With you experience does the eye symptoms I have come with having a pituitary tumor? Just wondering, I probably don't have it, but almost every symptom listed for cushings I have (most I thought was just for getting older or having three babies.)

well, thats possible but neither i nor anyone else would know that until/unless you had blood testing.

I had similar clouding in both of my eyes and it turned out to be cataracts.  I am turning 31 later this month and was surprised that a person my age could have cataracts but alas, I do and it explains my vision issues.  I had surgery (with a multifocal implant) last week and already I can see amazingly clearly.

You should schedule an appointment iwht your eye care professional -- clouding vision can be any number of issues -- all of which are something you'd want checked out.

Good luck!!
