Is there a link between Corneal Ulcer and Glaucoma

I initially was told by one eye specialist I had Glaucoma because of red eye, blurring, light sensitivity etc and then different eye specialists at hospital, admitted me and said I had quite a severe ulcer, my cornea being more than 70% thinner than normal, anyway i am recovering still on eye drops anti- bacterial, steroid, and artificial tear drops.
I have two questions
1) how could the first specialist wrongly diagnose glaucoma. Is there a connection?
2) I am still having blurring and finding it difficult to read small print, using this monitor also causes me problems.I was told there may be scarring due to the way it is healing.
It is only 1 month. Are things likely to return to normal?

Another question: Both my pupils at different times have red around the edge, Is this normal. I think perhaps the ulcer started like this
