Glaucoma after surgery?

by Occupant, Apr 12, 2007 12:00AM
I've had my one week, post op. check up. The IOP in my left eye went up to 44 mmHG (I think due to the steroid drops - 4x a day). The other one is normal (5 weeks post op.). The vision in the left eye is blurry even though the ophthalmologist said, it's 20/30. They didn't do any other checks that day because of the possibility of the IOP to go even higher due to the dilation.
1. Could there be any lasting effects because of this? And
2. Is the blurriness related to the steroids?

1.  probably not.  if you are being closely watched by your surgeons and they know about your pressure spike, then you'll likely be totally fine.

2.  probably not.
