Bleeding from Buckle

by jms1182, Feb 21, 2007 12:00AM
I had my buckle surgery Jan 10.  On my last checkup Feb 16 my doc says everything looks very very good.  I started back on the treadmill feb 17 and did a couple of weights feb 18.  Last night Feb 20 I had bleeding from my eye.  Not gushing but enough to freak me out.  I called the hospital and spoke with a doc who said it's possible I pulled a stitch - nothing to really worry about.  I put pressure on it and this morning so far no bleeding.  Has this happened to anyone?  I had lifted a couple of boxes earlier that day - I guess I should refrain from any lifting for awhile?  Thanks.

you mean bleeding that you could see in your own eye (on the 'white part') when you look in the mirror?  that is NO BIG DEAL.  its bleeding inside your eye that the surgeon would be much, much more interested in.

Yes - I can actually see it on a tissue when I blot my eye.  I told the doc I wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign there was bleeding in the eye - which I know is very bad.  Thanks for your reply.

I am female, 43 yrs. old.  I have recently started to experience burst blood vessels on the whites of my eyes.  It started happening six months ago and occurs about twice to three times a month in both eyes and in different areas in the eyes every time.  It is painless and I'm unaware that it has happened until people start telling me my eye is so gross.  I've had my blood pressure checked a few times and it's fine.  I've had a full eye exam by my Opthamologist and they can't see anything wrong other than "many fine cappillaries".  I am so concerned about this condition because it never happened before last August and now it's a regular occurance. Is there any condition that you are aware of that could cause this?  I am so paranoid that I may have a brain tumour or something.  Should I have an MRI?
