ReZoom Reflections and Astigmatisn

by Shopchops, Feb 11, 2007 12:00AM
I'm new and hope someone can help.  I had Rezoom done on my right less-dominante eye Nov. 7th and my dominant eye November 16th. I was farsighted and presbyopic. (I'm 50 now). My distance and intermediate are great after IOLs (20/20 right eye) and (20/15 left eye). I'm not happy at all with my near vision (12" to 24" laptom range).  There is ghosting and blurriness. My left eye doesn't see black text as dark as my right.  I have mild astigmatism (I believe they said .5 in left eye & .3 in my right) which also required correction when I wore glasses.  COULD THIS BE CAUSING MY DIFFICULTY TO FOCUS CLEARLY AT THIS DISTANCE ON THE TEXT ON MY LAPTOP AND THE GHOSTING?  Dr. seems to dismiss it as too mild.  It was bad enough though that when I wore progressive lenses, they had to add a correction for it otherwise my dominant left eye was blurry.

i also am dismissing your astigmatism as too mild to cause the symptoms you are describing.  much, much, much more likely to be due to the optics of the multifocal implant rather than your very mild astigmatism
