Hi everyone,
I suffer from a shrunken and sunken in eye. Does anyone know if anything can be done to improve the aesthetic appearance of the eye?
My vision is perfect so I still want to be able to use my shrunken eye. I have been thinking of making the eyelids more loose so that eye, even though still sunken in, would seem larger. Can this type of surgery be done?
When googling on the issue I found this patent, http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4969728.html, dose anyone know if these are in production and for sale?
I have also heard about something called scleral shells, perhaps this would be something suitable for my case?
I still haven't seen an eye doctor to talk about this. Will a regular eye doctor be good enough or will I have to see a specialist?

you need a specialist. probably an oculoplastics specialist. a scleral shell is a prosthetic...you would not be able to see thru that.
i have no idea whats for sale and what surgery could be done for this. i suspect not much. find an oculoplastics surgeon
