PRK eye surgery and drooping eyelid.

Four weeks ago I had a PRK surgery on my right eye.

I just noticed recently that the eyelid on operated eye is lower then the other eye.

Is this condition permanent and I will need another surgery to fix it, or it will go away with a time ?

Thank you.

dont know.  this is likely damage from the speculum ( the thing that holds your eye open during the surgery) rather than from the surgery or laser itself.

if the levator (upper eyelid muscle) is permanently damaged, then no, it wont go away.  if the levator is just irritated or inflamed then yes, it could go away.

you wont know which one of those applies to you for many months.  you'll have to just wait & see...

At 4 weeks your eyes are still healing.  And if you're still on the drop regiment and/or you had your tear ducts plugged, you've got a lot of tears/fluid in your eyes.  I would bet that things should get back to normal in a few more weeks.  Give it time before you worry.  I'm at 8 weeks PRK recovery and still notice changes.
