restor iol

by walter .c, Nov 07, 2006 12:00AM
Ive had restor iol's done in both eyes in Missisauga ,Canada by a  popular laser  company.

My right eye has a slight astigmatism.

My vision is great for distance and near but very poor intyermediate.

I told the doctor this and he suggested that I now do laser to fix my astigmatism.

He said that will not fix the intermediate problem

I had both iol's  done on the 22 August.

I suggested he remove the right iol and replace it with a reezoom.

He said he does not want to do that.

I asked about a piggyback iol at least in the right eye, he said its too complicated.

The other popular company here in Canadas that does mixed restor reezoom will not touch me because they do not want to take over another surgeons work.

If I were in your situation, I'd go along with my doctor's recommendation to reduce my astigmatism with laser vision correction.  Then I might try wearing a contact lens in one eye to improve my intermediate vision.  If that didn't work, I'd wear low prescription glasses for intermediate vision tasks.

It's been less than 3 months since your surgery, and I think you can anticipate further improvement in your vision in the coming months.
