Back pain after running and fell

by killerbz3, Apr 23, 2007 12:00AM
I was running and fell. Since then, I have had terrible pain in my back, have been through physical therapy and have had an X-ray done, but it is not seeming to get better. Is there anyone out there that can relate? I really want to be able to play sports again. Should I get more testing done? and what if any.

Hi killerbz3 - welcome to my world.  I have a similar issue with my running and am going crazy until I can run again.  I'm actually going for a nerve study tomorrow to see if I have a pinched nerve.  Have you been to a Sport's Doc?  Have you had an MRI or only an x-ray?  My Sport's Doc wouldn't do an MRI at first but after almost 3 months of pain, I finally found one who would do an MRI on me.  If your current doc won't order one, can you get another doc who will?  How long's the pain been going on?
